Having a good working relationship with your teacher is essential, but it’s always good to learn from others. Sometimes at the school, one teacher will cover another during absence, and even this is a good way to learn new things or just have a new approach. We also arrange occasional ‘Masterclasses’ and workshops with high profile players from all different areas. These are either intimate classes at the school, or large events at outside venues.
In the past we have had masterclasses from artists such as Steve White (Paul Weller), Colin Woolway (Suzi Quatro), Matt Letly (Status Quo), Darrin Mooney (Primal Scream), Adrian Erlandsson (Cradle of Filth), Pete Lockett (Top percussionist) and many others.
As well as masterclasses on playing, we have held several clinics on subjects such as tuning drums and working in the music industry.
